History: He was born in the north. Simon was born on a far northern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Ploughman. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
