Personality: He believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. He invites people to come help in his community garden.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Lance liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He bought a ceremonial dagger and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.

Personality: She is unhospitable to her core. Her small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. Her home and work are filled with various knick knacks she has acquired through the years. She cares a great deal for her adopted teenage son.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Heather was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of freemasons.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Dilettante responsibilities is difficult; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother

History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: She desires power and/or immortality; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Personality: Percival hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his poetry career. Percival enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the north. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has never given up on his poetry dream.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and retire the richest man in the north
