History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Melissa was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Melissa was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Layabout arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
