History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. Through the years after Roland was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Roland's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Hugolina was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her first spouse was a Spice Merchant, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: Marry her sister to traveling adventurers; and balancing her hectic life and new sailor responsibilities is difficult

Personality: She has a good heart but also a terrible temper. She will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. She will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: Born in the north to a Bricklayer, Isabella learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
