History: Born in the south to a Courier, Roger learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Courier.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. After a long history of fighting, Mary and her spouse have recently divorced.
