History: Aldous hails from a village terrorized by giants. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Description: A man with a cold, calculating air about him, he dresses well, wearing brown shirts, loose pants, and blazers most of the time. His hair is blonde and curly. His half smiles and violet eyes are beguiling and draw you in.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Bernard was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends.

Personality: She is happy with her job as a Spice Merchant. She turns her eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. She is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in her opinion.

History: When she was but 4 years old her parents immigrated from the north. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion.

Personality: He is unhospitable to his core. His small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has dedicated himself to building a better kind of golem.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and obtaining odd cultural human artifacts is his passion
