She saw this and took pride in her mother's willingness to do anything to win. During her travels, Jacoba and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Jacoba discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Jacoba fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.

History: Cecily hails from a village terrorized by orcs. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Adventurer. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and she desires to right it; and to be a merchant again

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Randal grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
