History: He was born into a rich family. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. History: Ernest was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and balancing his hectic life and new dilettante responsibilities is difficult
