History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Don and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.
