History: Hugh hails from a village terrorized by illithids. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: Quiet and reserved she prefers to listen than to talk. She will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of gnolls once and for all.

History: Rosamund lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In her 13th year, her parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Rosamund alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.
