Description: A well shaped man just over fifty, he wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized pastel coat. His hair is long and red with streaks of golden, and is pulled back with small pastel clips. His beard is golden, braided, and well cared for. His face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. His spectacle hidden eyes are a deep green.

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting brigands, the young Geoffrey began to lead the lost caravan. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Geoffrey fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: Aldous is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Aldous grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: She desires power and/or immortality; and she wants to meet her childhood hero

Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. She has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. Beatrice was orphaned to a temple shortly after her birth. She was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above herself and to hold her god always in her heart. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: She's repulsed by the PC; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs
