However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the gnolls.

Despite her manner, she is extremely passionate and proud of her job, and she prides herself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Through the years after Katherine was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Katherine's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance.
