History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. At some point he was captured by drow and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by drow. Frederick was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the drow.

Emmeline's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
