History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge

Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. A true patriot, Joan would do anything for her country. She is fiercely protective of her fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: She comes from a rich eastern family. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Joan was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
