Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a ruined castle. She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Herleva took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up rapier and armor she uses now. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: She comes from a rich western family. She found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story.
