He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

His hair, while still mostly white, has prominent grey streaks. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: In the realm of puns, he cannot help himself. He feels obliged to make them. A true patriot, Adelard would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He became a Layabout soon after.
