History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Her parents enrolled her in a Paladin school at a young age so that she could practice her arcane talents. She was granted arcane powers by her dying sister.
