History: Maynild was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She used her abilities to travel the world and help people.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Her first spouse was a Herbalist, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and a deep hatred of giants

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food she seems plenty friendly. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Bellfounder but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. While she appears to be a normal Human, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Bellfounder.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Money/treasure; and he is greedy
