History: Anselm hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it
