When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Gardener hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was born into a rich family. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Bernard and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Geva lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A serious injury left her mother unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm mother. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: To unite with her brother.

History: She was raised in a forest tribe. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She has recently attracted an admirer that believes she's playing hard to get.
