History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He worked as a nervous Navigator and found it very stressful. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: To be a Ruler again; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg

He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and he is greedy

Personality: She hates Humans with a passion. As such she is filled with self loathing. She is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: She was born in the north, but her parents moved at a very young age to the west. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Merchant hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and human compassion
