Description: She is lean but muscular and is dressed in earthy colors with a brown and white handkerchief worn on her left side. With wild brown hair. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.
Personality: She is a jovial happy person, but she is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. She misses her home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.
History: Born in the east to a Sailor, Avelina learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Avelina grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Avelina. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.
Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother; and an old rival family wants her found

Personality: She is mildly Human supremacist, though she does not identify as such. Her actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as she answers to a power that mortal women fail to acknowledge.
History: She was born on a small isolated farm. Like her father and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Doctor. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Doctor for the past few years.
Motivation: Her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. He likes to tell stories.
History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.
Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Navigator and was forced into it by his family; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
