History: She was raised by priests from a young age. After coming to the age of reason, Matilda took it upon herself to study the divine arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. She was granted divine powers by her dying sister.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and her religion dominates her actions
