History: Robert hails from a village terrorized by illithids. At some point he was captured by illithids and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He has never given up on his singing dream.

He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. After a long history of fighting, Ernest and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and he has decided he is irredeemable
