History: Katherine was born the youngest of three triplets. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Beggar. She became a Beggar soon after.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Beggar responsibilities is difficult; and an old rival family wants her found

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. After a long history of fighting, Yvonne and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: She is terrified, and will act out of fear; and she is wracked by social anxiety

Personality: She resents people who mock her appearance or her, so she has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Guard but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Elizabeth grew up listening to her mother's many stories. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: She's looking for her big break; and she wants to meet her childhood hero
