While she appears to be a normal Human, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by brigands. Jane was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the brigands.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Matilda embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. In her 12th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She tends to her Knight job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. Being a Bather kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Emma is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A freak accident while working with her Servant father left her crippled. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.
