History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. After a long history of fighting, Roland and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and to clean up the streets

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and a rival would like him out of the picture

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She was taken from her home at a very young age. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out.
