History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Courier who has hired him part-time. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Courier. Some 3 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Chad never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. She is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: Hugolina lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Wants to raise her children well; and marry her sister to traveling adventurers
