Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has worked as a Interpreter like his father before him.

Personality: Joan is a sociable creature first and foremost. She loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. She can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. She is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Navigator. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Navigator for hire.

Personality: She has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Knight who has hired her part-time. She is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Humans.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Knight hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and wants her loneliness to end

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: Heward was born the youngest of three triplets. A freak accident while working with his Mason father left him crippled. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Mason they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Masseuse, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and wants to raise his children well
