Because her mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her father from journeying north to reunite her family. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the north. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Justin alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it; and revenge
