History: Dean was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered west to less war torn lands. Being a Farmer kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Through the years after Emma was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Emma's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone.
