History: Born in the west to a Ploughman, Jocelyn learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Ploughman.

History: Charles lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Servant. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Personality: She barks her statements quickly and with little fuss. She prefers small words and is at her heart utilitarian. She takes great joy in being the best Mason in town.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her 14th year, her parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Adelaide alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has achieved small success as a Mason.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and she desires to right it; and to be a seamstress again

Personality: Theodoric is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 3 years.

Motivation: Expand his business; and he feels kind of lost in life
