Description: He prefers to wear fine silks, though has several suits of combat armor for his hunting needs. He has a moderate pudge and is not very fit. His hair is greying and his face has many wrinkles. His eyes are likewise gray.
Personality: Prone to second guessing himself, he comes off as nervous. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.
History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. Anselm abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.
Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

Description: A middle-aged man, he wears a simple black robe with grey stripes complete with hood, and is pretty ugly. His auburn hair is still thick. His face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. His spectacle hidden eyes are a deep violet.
Personality: Jocelyn wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Paladin, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.
History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
Motivation: To share knowledge with the world.

Description: She is a husky woman, who wears a pastel coat over a brown low-cut shirt, and a broad hat upon her head. She keeps her blonde hair in a pixie cut. She wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into her face.
Personality: She is a Guard first and foremost. She believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. She is a ruthless business woman, a trait she acquired from her father.
History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She has worked as a Guard like her father before her.
Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and wants to open a new tavern

Description: She prefers to wear grey pants and tee shirts. She carries with her a set of morningstars on her belt, each one with a jet on the hilt. She has moderate length brown hair. Her thin eyebrows rest above her beady green eyes.
Personality: She is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before her hampering stammer kicks in. She pushes her goals aggressively. She is also a coward if confronted.
History: When she was but 4 years old her parents immigrated from the north. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Millicent fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
Motivation: She feels threatened by others; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever
