History: Nicholas was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. His arcane abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and wants to open a new tavern
