History: A powerful slaver made her what she is. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a daughter. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge.

History: Randal was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. Bookbinder work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
