Personality: He is happy with his job as a Laborer. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: Gerard hails from a village terrorized by illithids. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it
