The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Gunter was born on a far southern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Shoemaker. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.
