History: Conrad was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. Her temper goes off on the smallest of things. She tends to lash out at those around her.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Wants her loneliness to end; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

History: Ernest hails from a village terrorized by goblins. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Ernest alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: He wants revenge against goblins.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Roland was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
