History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Gilbert grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Gilbert. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

History: Maynild was born the youngest of three triplets. She helped her father out around the business and became quite the natural. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Her hair is silver and very short. Her face is full, her cheeks are rosy, and she always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in her amber eyes.

Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. She does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of giants may trigger it at times.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud.
