History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Nicholas embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Barrister profession.

History: Born to a Barrister, his mother struggled to pay the bills. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and further expansion of business

Personality: Quiet and reserved she prefers to listen than to talk. She will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. She is fiercely devoted to her mother, and views her mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-brother.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent mother; and marry her brother to traveling adventurers
