History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. Ostracized due to the arcane powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. After a long history of fighting, Shane and his spouse have recently divorced.

Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. She is skeptical of what others tell her and is slow to trust.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature monstrous two handed axe.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and she has passion for adventuring and risk
