History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

Personality: She likes to be helpful to her clients. She likes to prescribe proper advice to her clients. She has a cruel streak; something she gained from her previous mentor. She harbors resentment against her former mentor.

History: She was born at the edge of vast desert. Her mother took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Herbalist for hire.

Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Many dire rats want her driven away.
