History: Anne hails from a village terrorized by illithids. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: When she was but 6 years old her parents immigrated from the east. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Emma was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and balancing her hectic life and new painter responsibilities is difficult
