History: Gerald was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. A freak accident while working with his Bounty Hunter mother left him crippled. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Laborer they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Cook, and she later adopted a second daughter.
