History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. She has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. In her 10th year, her parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Adelaide alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by gnolls. Adelaide was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and seeks redemption
