History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Stableman they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Bricklayer, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and wants to have a good time and be beloved

History: Her divine talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. In her 14th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Elizabeth alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Motivation: She is content; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother

History: He comes from a rich southern family. Ostracized due to the martial powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and obtaining odd cultural human artifacts is his passion
