The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Matilda was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north; and his religion dominates his actions
