History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His psionic abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Some 10 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Avice never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

Personality: He is overprotective of those who hire his services. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his father.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.
