Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it

History: She was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions; and her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion
