History: Born in the north to a Navigator, Heward learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Navigator. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature spear.
